Artificial intelligence (AI) has developed as a key topic of discussion in education this year, raising concerns about academic integrity, the speed of AI development and its inclusion in the classroom. How might we provide accurate, on-demand professional development for educators who are perhaps a bit frightened of using AI in their learning environments? We will walk learners through our process of understanding AI and creating professional development for educators. We will explore AI history, the issues facing its adoption in education and some pathways to provide professional development.
Presented by Matthew Winters, sr. technology trainer at Utah Education Network and ISTE Community Leader; Val O’Bryan, sr. technology trainer at Utah Education Network; and Jami Gardner, IT product manager/instructor at Utah Education Network
