The Canadian Parents for French Virtual Tutoring program was created for parents who made a commitment to have their children learn French. The program provides students from 5 to 14 years of age with additional support for their FSL (French as a second language) learning journey.
Cost: $60.00 per student — Bursaries are available by contacting [email protected]. Parents must sign up for the virtual tutoring waiting list to be considered for full and partial subsidies.

Tutors come to each lesson prepared with a variety of fun-filled activities that are both engaging and instructional on a specific, interesting topic! Students will work on activities that will focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening in French. If there is spare time in the one-hour session, students can ask for help on their French homework.
How does it work?
- Children spend one hour/week in a one-on-one session with a volunteer French-speaking tutor.
- Sessions take place virtually, so a computer, camera, microphone and internet connection are required.
- The service is offered at a very low cost.
- This program is open to CPF members across Canada. There is a $60/child non-refundable registration fee to participate in the program.
- Full and partial scholarships are available to families who need financial assistance.
