AI Robots: Create Amazing Robots with Artificial Intelligence Using micro:bit FCL Webinar Registration

Thank you for your interest in this exciting webinar for February 13th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. This is a phenomenal new book from our friends at Steamlabs. Make: AI Robots introduces young people to AI through exciting craft projects that start with a mechanical cardboard creation, integrates fun electronic lights and motors, adds simple coding on a micro:bit, and then teaches how to train AI to create a spark of life. By registering for this webinar, you agree to make every effort to attend. Educators teaching K-12 students in Canada will receive a free copy of the book upon completion of a short survey at the end of the webinar. * You must be a Canadian resident and K-12 educator to attend this webinar and receive a free book. After completing the form, you’ll receive a Webinar invite from Zoom and be redirected to the Code to Learn web site!

What are micro:bits?

Micro:bits are small, affordable, and versatile devices that can be used to teach coding and computational thinking in a variety of subjects and grade levels. They have an LED light display, buttons, sensors, and many input/output features that you can program and physically interact with. You can use micro:bits to create games, animations, musical instruments, robots, and much more. You can also connect them to other devices and sensors using Bluetooth, radio, or wires.

Micro:bits are designed to be accessible and engaging for learners of all ages and abilities. They can be programmed in many different ways, from block coding to text-based programming with Python. They also come with a wealth of online resources, such as tutorials, projects, and courses, to help you and your students get started and explore the possibilities.

What will you learn in this webinar?

In this free webinar, you will learn how to use micro:bits in your classroom to teach coding and computer science concepts in a fun and interactive way. You will also hear from experienced educators who have successfully integrated micro:bits into their curriculum and pedagogy. Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • How to set up and use micro:bits with your students
  • How to choose the best programming tool for your learning objectives and student needs
  • How to find and use ready-made lesson plans and resources for micro:bits
  • How to design and implement your own micro:bit projects and challenges
  • How to assess and evaluate student learning and progress with micro:bits
  • How to connect micro:bits to other devices and sensors to extend the learning opportunities
  • How to foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving with micro:bits
