The video describes the journey of a group of students who participated in CyberTitan, a Canadian Student Cybersecurity Competition, starting from scratch with no background in modern cybersecurity. Despite making rookie mistakes, the team learned and developed their IT skills to exercise them more effectively. The team’s growth from four to thirty students is evidence that an open-minded and willing-to-learn approach can lead to opportunities for both students and staff, and raise cybersafety awareness in schools and boards. Cameron, a member of the original team, is now in his final year at University of Waterloo studying computer science, and Coach King is now seconded to ICTC, determined to expand CyberTitan engagement with more students to raise cyber-awareness.
