The SchoolAI PLC Playground is designed for K–12 educators across New Brunswick to explore, experiment with, and reflect on ways generative AI can enhance teaching and learning.

Over 6 weeks, participants will:

  • Gain hands-on experience using SchoolAI in authentic classroom contexts.

  • Access curated training and peer support.

  • Complete short, structured challenges to build confidence and skills.

  • Provide valuable feedback through pre- and post-surveys to inform EECD’s ongoing digital innovation strategy.

What is SchoolAI?

SchoolAI is a generative AI education tool to enhance teaching and learning. Free to all New Brunswick educators with NBED login credentials, the platform can be used in multiple ways:

  • Create custom bots for students (virtual homework help, simulations, though partners, etc)
  • Develop educational materials (rubrics, lesson plans, work problems, course outlines
  • Virtual assistants for quick advice (AI literacy, digital skills, event planning)
  • Engage in training and professional development

    2. Generate a lesson resource (lesson plan, rubric, word problem, etc). Put a question out to the PLC that you’d like answered around using SchoolAI when developing classroom materials.
    3. Use SchoolAI to make a bellringer, exit ticket or career exploration chatbot for your students. Share how the insights from the space could be used to enhance achievement.
    4. Enhance an existing resource to accomodate or differentiate for a learner’s need. Share the result with the PLC and any reflections on how it was used/created.

The space must be prompted in a way that allows it to differentiate for learner needs, align with curriculum, and have an attached rubric. The space, or variations of it, should be used multiple times over 1-2 weeks. Add the space in SchoolAI “Organize” tab to the SchoolAI Challenge collection.
  5. Complete a post-assessment survey.
