About

Claire Harris is Senior Advisor of Environment and Inclusion at NB Power and is currently supporting the advancement of Small Modular Reactors in New Brunswick. Claire has been with NB Power for over 30 years and has been a part of many innovative projects over the years. Claire has also been a manager at the nuclear station in New Brunswick in Process Improvement, Safety, Environment, Emergency Preparedness, Quality and Supply Chain and excels in Change Leadership. Claire graduated from Power Engineering Technology and then completed a bachelor’s degree in General Studies (Arts and Science) with a focus on Environmental Assessment. Claire is also a black belt in Lean 6-Sigma and a CODE model Coach with Wel-Systems Institute. Claire is passionate about climate change and inclusion and believes we all have a voice and together we can make a difference.

 

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is a United Nations-recognized observance held annually on February 11th. The day aims to promote gender equality in science and to encourage more women and girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The day also highlights the contributions that women have made to these fields throughout history and the importance of their participation in scientific research and innovation.
