Hands-On Renewable Energy Learning for Middle Schools

The Centre of Excellence for Energy is partnering with Relay Education to bring engaging, hands-on renewable energy workshops to middle school classrooms!

Through Capture the Wind and Plug in the Sun, students will explore how wind and solar power generate electricity, experiment with real-world energy concepts, and take on exciting STEM challenges that build teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Program Highlights:

  • Designed for Grades 6–8 science and technology outcomes

  • Led by experienced facilitators from Relay Education

  • Schools are asked to host 3–4 classes per day

  • All materials provided! Just supply an open classroom or lab space with access to a projector.
