Speaker Bio
Heidi Clifford is a Professional Engineer and a graduate from UNB (Chemical Engineering) of 2005. Her current role is Regulatory Strategist in the Advocacy and Sustainability group at Irving Oil, and is responsible for managing new policies and regulatory changes for the business including carbon pricing and the Clean Fuel Standard. She is the lead for the Environmental workstream of Irving Oil’s Environmental Social Governance committee and very involved in the company’s climate strategy. Other work experience includes refinery process engineering and several years of experience working in the Environment department at the Saint John refinery where she was responsible for environmental compliance and reporting and project permitting. She has been working for Irving Oil for 14 years and prior to that worked for the NB provincial government in the Environment department. Heidi is the Irving Oil representative for several industry associations other government working groups and technical committees.
