Overview
In this assignment students will look at how a cash flow forecast works and determine if businesses are profitable. The following can be done in small groups, or individually. There are two separate businesses, “Surreal Sweater Company” and “Fancy Feet Sock Business” to investigate.

- Surreal Sweater Company Description Printout
- Cash flow sheets
Instructions
- Teacher models how to record information into the Cash Flow Forecast sheet and ensures understanding of vocabulary and the process.
- Individually, or in small groups, students get a printout of the business information and cash flow forecast sheet. Included below.
- Teachers can provide students with both businesses at once, or after completing Fancy Feet provide Surreal Sweater business.
- This can be used as an assessment tool individually, or as a group discussion for enhancing financial literacy.
