Please join Ingrid Munroe, Owner and CEO of the NB Box and Rising Tide Gifts as she shares her story of starting a successful New Brunswick business for Entrepreneurship Week! Ingrid also explains the benefits of being an entrepreneur and what success looks like to her!
In May of 2018, in preparation for her sister’s baby shower, Ingrid decided she wanted to make her a gift completely filled with locally made products. She started to contact different businesses from around the province and had to have them mail her their goods, or meet to arrange pickup. She was driving all over Saint John to pick up these amazing high quality products, and it occurred to her – as she was waiting to get some bath bombs in the McDonald’s parking lot – that if she was wanting an easier way to buy locally made gifts, then other people were as well.
Within a month, the NB Box was born. In April of 2021, Ingrid expanded once again and started bringing in products from all over Atlantic Canada with Rising Tide Gifts. Each box is carefully curated and filled with the best locally made products and lovingly packed in the Saint John warehouse.
