Entrepreneurship in Action: A Resource Development Experience for Grade 6–8 Teachers
Join the Centre of Excellence for Entrepreneurship for a collaborative resource development experience designed for middle school educators. Open to teachers of all subject areas, this opportunity explores how entrepreneurship, financial literacy, leadership, and career-connected learning can be integrated across curriculum through authentic experiential learning.
On August 17, participants will take part in a virtual learning and design session featuring professional learning, collaborative ideation, and engagement with community and industry partners, including representatives from financial literacy, business, and community development organizations.
During the week of August 18-21, participants will independently refine and complete a classroom-ready experiential learning resource, with dedicated compensation provided for one additional day of work. Centre of Excellence team members will be available during designated drop-in support times to provide guidance and feedback throughout the week.
Participants will:
- Deepen their understanding of experiential and career-connected learning
- Explore connections to entrepreneurship, financial literacy, leadership, and business education
- Collaborate with community and industry partners
- Develop a classroom-ready experiential learning resource for Grade 6–8 students
This experience supports interdisciplinary learning across Personal Wellness, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, Technology, and other curriculum areas.
