Franconnexion Sessions:

French for the Future provides a free toolkit of educational resources specifically designed to raise awareness about the advantages (and the fun!) of speaking French. Educators/School leaders can use these resources to organize a Franconnexion Session for their students in any Grade from 7 to 12!

Local Forums:

Local Forums are events that gather French Second Language and French First Language students from Grade 9 to 12 for a full day of activities in French. Thanks to the presence of stakeholders and artists from the Francophone community, students have the opportunity to learn more about the cultural and professional value of being bilingual. It’s also an occasion to facilitate dialogue!

French for the Future Ambassador:

Leadership. Friendship. French. Travel. Open to Grade 10 and 11 students! The ambassador program empowers youth to act as leaders who promote the French language and official bilingualism in their school throughout the year by organizing activities related to French. Before starting the year as an ambassador, students will attend a free week of training in August. The training forum not only equips students for their role as an ambassador but also provides a unique opportunity to foster connections and friendships with other participants.

National Essay Contest:

Grades 10, 11, or 12 registered in a French program can take part in the National Essay Contest for the chance to win a scholarship ranging between $20,000 and $28,000, to study in French in a participating post-secondary institution.

Bilingual Young Leaders:

Bilingual Young Leaders is a youth committee founded by French for the Future. It gathers 7 to 8 young committed bilingual Canadians, who want to develop projects and help promote bilingualism.

United Bilingual Correspondents:

The goal of the United Bilingual Correspondents program is to connect French-speaking youth from across the country who share common interests. It is open to students in Grades 7-12 who want to meet bilingual Canadians from other provinces, enhance their language skills, or learn more about Canadian diversity!

Fr+ online platform:

Fr+ is a free online space, all in French, open to Francophones and Francophiles from 14 to 17 years old. This platform is a place where teenagers can join online communities according to their interests: music, sports, video games, series, etc. Students can create their own French-speaking community around the topics they like! Sign up and access the platform!

Lance ton balado (podcast) Contest:

In partnership with the French Embassy in Canada, le Salon du livre de l’Outaouais, and Transistor Média, the Lance ton balado contest is open to students ages 12 to 18. Addressing a new topic every year, students are invited to come together in groups of up to three people and create a podcast in their preferred style. Many prizes are to be won: travel to and participate in a podcast production with an expert, etc.
