Overview
Administrators of K-5 schools in New Brunswick are invited to register to receive a kit developed by the Centre of Excellence for Digital Innovation, in collaboration with the McKenna Institute, to support digital literacy education. Interested schools will receive copies of 6 books to accompany the 12 Learning Activities outlined here. The resources are accompanied by a recorded professional learning session. These activities have been piloted in New Brunswick schools with very positive feedback from learners and educators! The intention is for all grades K-2 and 3-5 classes in the school to complete a set of 6 curriculum connected lessons, each supporting one component of the New Brunswick Digital Literacy Framework.
The New Brunswick Digital Literacy Framework provide a holistic approach to digital literacy and includes the following 6 components: Digital Citizenship; Digital Health and Wellness; Critical Thinking and Meaning Making; Creativity, Design, and Problem Solving; and Communication and Collaboration.

After receiving the kit, participating schools will be asked to provide educators with a short survey to fill out that will help us continue to improve Centres of Excellence learning supports (5-10 minutes to complete). Your feedback is important to us.
