Engaging New Brunswick high school learners in green energy career exploration through hands-on workshops, networking, and energy efficiency education.
High school educators and students from across New Brunswick are invited to the Hugh John Flemming Forestry Complex in Fredericton, NB, for a day-long event focused on green energy careers, climate education, and opportunities in the emerging green economy.
Hosted by The Gaia Project, in partnership with the Centre of Excellence for Energy and NB Power, Empowering Tomorrow will bring together students, educators, and industry experts for an engaging day of learning, exploration, and connection. Through interactive sessions and conversations with professionals working across the energy and environmental sectors, students will explore pathways to meaningful careers while building their understanding of climate action and New Brunswick’s evolving energy landscape.
Educators from Anglophone school districts can register their class, club, or student group at no cost.
Transportation and Accommodation
To help ensure the event is accessible to schools across the province, chartered bus transportation will be organized from major urban centres at no cost to participating schools. For schools travelling from rural or more distant regions, Event organziers will contact educators following registration to coordinate appropriate transportation and, where necessary, overnight accommodations.
Supply Teacher Costs
To further reduce barriers to participation, supply teacher costs associated with educator attendance will also be covered. Additional information regarding the process for arranging and/or reimbursing supply teacher costs will be provided to registered educators.
Our goal is to ensure that transportation, accommodation, and supply teacher costs, s do not prevent schools from participating in this provincial learning opportunity.
