Overview

What does it really mean to feel safe at work—not just physically, but mentally? This virtual session for students in Grade 6-12 on Wednesday, March 25th at 9:15 am will introduce students to the concept of psychological health and safety, why it matters, and how it connects to leadership and well-being in the workplace. Students will explore ways to support mental wellness and create positive environments where everyone can thrive.

What You’ll Learn

  • What psychological safety means – Why feeling safe to speak up and be yourself matters at work.
  • Spotting risks – How things like bullying, discrimination, or constant stress can harm a healthy workplace.
  • Building trust and respect – Simple ways teams can create an environment where everyone feels valued.
  • The role of leaders – How good leadership helps people feel heard and supported.
  • Your role– What you can do to help make the workplaces positive and safe for everyone.
