Blair Abbass

About

We are facing one of the greatest mental health crises of our time and we have at our disposal an evidence-based tool to help deal with it called Mindfulness.

Join Blair Abbass with your students and he will share Mindfulness Techniques that he has developed over the past 40 years of teaching that empowered himself, and helped his students face the challenges of life. Learn how to Thrive not Just Survive with these simple but effective techniques.

Co-founder of Yoga in Schools, Blair Abbass is a registered Counselling Therapist and retired educator of 34 years. He introduced mindfulness into the school system in NS and designed the first stress reduction program for the NSTU 25 years ago. Since then, he’s collaborated with his wife, Jenny, to create and implement the Mindfulness in Schools Manual, which is used in schools across North America. He co-designed and taught the first PSP Yoga Grade 11 course in the public-school system, a course that is now taught in most high schools in Atlantic Canada.
