Overview
COE Health is thrilled to partner with Horizon Health, NBCC, and the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers, to present Allied Health Week 2024. Live, virtual allied health presentations for learners and educators will be offered each day from November 18th to 22nd. These sessions will provide an opportunity learn more about career pathways in allied health that exist in New Brunswick.
Approximately 60% of the healthcare workforce is comprised of Allied Health professionals. In conjunction with doctors and nurses, Allied Health professionals use the same health principles to identify, evaluate, and treat disorders and diseases. Allied Health includes a variety of professions such as Pharmacists, Physio/Occupational Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, and support roles such as Rehab Assistants. Allied Health work is fast-paced, interesting and directly impacts a patient and their family’s quality of life.
