About

Join the Centre of Excellence for Health for a Provincial Tea Party on June 1st to celebrate Intergenerational Day!

A Recording of an intergenerational “Tea Party” is posted here for you to ENJOY with the students, staff and seniors in NB. We have partnered with Michelle Alcorn from Atlantic Cooks and her 82-year-old mother, Helen. Michelle will be making biscuits and tea, inviting some amazing people to speak about the history of tea, cultural issues surrounding tea, and tea judging.

YOUR Class can help celebrate Intergenerational day by watching the recorded “Tea Party” and learn about the history and culture surrounding tea.

On June 1st of each year, people of all ages across Canada come together to celebrate Intergenerational Day. This day promotes the knowledge and cultural exchange between different generations as well as fosters healthy relationships among seniors and young people in the community. There are many ways to celebrate intergenerational day – small gestures like asking about a seniors’ day or bigger events like a PROVINCIAL TEA PARTY!
