Have you ever wondered how to make a difference in the care and wellbeing of others? If you have, a career in Personal Support Work might be right for you. This presentation will explore how to become a Personal Support Worker through the New Brunswick Community College. Personal Support Workers play a vital role in the interdisciplinary care of individuals in various health care facilities.

Krystal Pitre is a Licensed Practical Nurse who instructs at the New Brunswick Community college and works casually in the Pediatric Department at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She took her training through NBCC in St. Andrews and began nursing in 2015. She has worked in all areas of nursing and loves to share some of her knowledge and skills with others through her teaching.

Stephanie Ruckstuhl is a Registered Nurse who instructs at the New Brunswick Community College. She took her training at St Lawrence College in Cornwall Ontario and began nursing in 1993, starting in Emergency, eventually going to community, then settled for a while with VON as the Cancer Support Network Coordinator until she moved to New Brunswick in 2006 when she started working for NBCC. In teaching the PSW and PN she has found her passion.
