Overview
The Long-Term Care Coop Program is an experiential learning opportunity that allows students to complete a coop placement in a long term care facility while also completing an online course to earn a certificate of completion. Students receive credit for the online Resident Assistant program via the Health Services 110 course. Students spend several mornings a week in their online course learning the skills required to be a Resident Assistant and the following mornings students work in a Long-Term Care facility under the supervision of medical professionals to put their knowledge in practice by completing tasks and practicing skills related to their learning.
